ニンジンシダ, オニウム Japonicum, is an attractive, clump-forming fern with wiry black stems bearing arching dark green, feathery fronds that resemble carrot foliage. It’s perfect for using as tall ground cover in semi shade, and looks great alongside other ferns. It provides the perfect foil for flowering plants, both in the border and the vase.

完全に丈夫ではない、Onychium japonicumは、湿っているが、冬にはあまりにも濡れていない湿った土壌で最もよく栽培されています。寒くて湿った地域では、秋に植物の根元の周りに根を下ろして鍋を張り、春まで屋内を持ち込みます。
